I was just sitting here watching my dogs play, and thought back to when I was young.

Which was just a few days ago

:, Ok I am telling a little story.

I can remember that I always wanted a Monkey. ( never did get one ) :new_shocked:

Hubby always wanted a deer. ( no he has not got his yet either )

We both always wanted to have a little horse ranch.

If you could have any animal on earth / What would you like to have?

Thats easy! A koala Bear! I have always wanted a koala bear. When I was veyr little (before the laws changed) my Grandparents went to Australia and brought me a little pursh covered in Koala Fur. Now of course I think diferently, but then it was the neatest thing I had ever seen and I do still have it. But Koala's are my favorite animals.

other then horses? especially a drafty type hairy horse like a Gypsy Horse?

I'd have to say a Monkey. They are very dangerous to keep as pets, but someday I would still love to be able to afford to have a big habitat built and take in a pair of rescue monkeys. I'd need a wildlife rehab license though. I'd Give them a home where they could just live together as monkeys and not be expected to be little people. I could sit and watch monkeys all day.

A horse. It's always been a horse. Well, I used to want a spacesuit but that's given up upon my finding I can't even handle a measly little rollercoaster. And it shall always stay a horse. Unless I decide I want a panda cub, of course.

If I could only have 1 animal, it would definately be a horse! Always has been and always will be my first love! My second choice would be an elephant.

Other than a horse??? Either a monkey or an elephant! Elaphants are so majestic and noble. A monkey because that was my nickname or maybe I wanted one before I was called monkey and...oh who knows!!! I just love monkeys :lol:

As far back as I can remember, I've always wanted a reindeer. Not just any reindeer, a baby reindeer that I could train and name PRANCER. This would be the coolest baby reindeer in the whole wide world. I would brush him and wash him and give him vaccinations and trim his toes and feed him and lead him and he'd pull me in a sleigh and he'd wear jingle bells around his neck and we'd get a harness and he'd pull me around and oh heck I'd have bells on the harness too and it would be black, or well maybe red, I don't know but he'd have a red nose but if he didn't that's ok, I would love his nose in any color and he could come with me for walks in the woods or where ever we wanted to walk and he would fly high high up to the sky and then come in for a landing real smooth and then he would have a really neet stall maybe 12 X 12 or bigger if he wants a bigger one and I would bed him on hay, no straw would be better for him and fresh water all the time and he could eat oats or magic oats so he could fly me around all the time and on Chrismas we'd be in the Christmas parade and he'd be the star of the parade and really show himself off and I'd make him a really nice red velvet blanket to wear and trim it in gold for the parade and he'd win and award if they ever gave awards which they don't but that's ok because we don't need any stupid awards we'd be there just to have fun and let everyone make a wish on him and then we'd go to the mall and see Santa and tell him that if he needs our services we'd be happy to help him out anytime.

Yes I'd really like to have a reindeer someday.

hehe, i think I read that whole thing without taking a breath. Too cute.

I thought of another one (aside from horses and monkeys)... ever since I was a teenager and saw one in a pet shop that was just so sweet I have wanted a hyacinth macaw. I would never be able to actually have one and care for it properly but I just ADORE them.

We raised a whitetail fawn and it was a once in a lifetime unforgettable experience.

Other than that, I'd like to have a giraffe.

For me it has always been horses, nothing else.

I have dogs and cats.

I would, desperately, like to "rescue" the sulphur crested cockatoo that is in the local garden centre.

He is beautifully housed, and the staff love him etc, but he does not like people much and he HATES kids- the kids are pretty good, they do not bang on the perspex (He has a big enough to flutter in perspex enclosure) but I would like to bring him home and love him- I do not have the time, though, let alone the money, and if I buy him they will just get another. The last one they had hated it all, too.

Now the little conures love all the attention and are pretty tame. They have huge flight and thoroughly enjoy themselves.

I just feel so sorry for "Christmas"!!!
