I am sorry, you have my deepest heartfelt sympathies. Losing one of our furchildren hurts so much, my prayers and light for your baby.

So Sorry for your loss and know how diffcult putting down any animal can be. We had a colt last year whos dam rejected him . We raised him and put him in with a gentle gelding.

Thank you all for kind words. He's doing ok he's eating his grain well and I located the pelleted milk replacer today. So that's good. Last night we went out to tell Rooney goodnight and my daughter wanted to know where Bopper was. I'm thankful she's young enough to not understand right now....doesn't that sound terrible? Oh well, keep Roon-man in your thoughts and prayers.

Again, thanks for the kindness.

Karen

Karen i'm so sorry for your loss, but wanted to assure you that your colt should be fine, we lost a mare four years ago to lipidemia, her 2-month-old colt was put on the milk pellets as well and taken directly from the vet's office to his new home as the vet said he would "choose a new mother" and it would be better for him to go straight to his new home and not bond with one of ours only to be moved again in a few months... anyway he did just that, and this year he sired his first foal for his owner and they are still so happy with him.

My condolences on your loss, that is so very sad. Sending prayers to your family and little Rooney.
