Is she pregnant and how far along would you say?

Well that’s good news it’s so cold right now, can’t imagine coming out of a warm womb to this weather

She’s just started rubbing her rear alot on the fencing and laying down more, also seems not as eager to eat as much heres a pic

I've got to say I don't see any real changes in udder or belly in 4 months. A little weird how she sticks out on one side, but if that was a baby in october I would think you would see a lot more change by now. Anything is possible, but if she is I'm going to change my guess to summer sometime

Yeah i don’t know what to think but my farrier was just here and he said that mini looks due really soon, I never told him she was pregnant. I literally said to him do you really think she’s pregnant because I don’t actually know for sure and he said 1000% but again it’s not set in stone

Is it possible she could be one of those that just bags up last minute or is that really rare?

These were all taken in Oct 2022, the pic in the trailer was the day we brought her home October 10th.

Hi I’m still herehere’s pics from today she will no longer let me take udder pics she moves away every time, I haven’t seen her udder in at least 3 weeks.

That definitely looks pregnant. My 2 cents is that I would tie her up and make her let you take pictures and handle her udder. Partly because that's one of the best ways to know she is about to foal. And partly because if there are any issues you need to be able to handle that area. Mares do not love it, but it's one of those things they need to accept.

Ok, she was letting me take pics up until recently, she’s just way more cranky now but I’ll give it a try.

They are always cranky. There is a tiny horse in her belly trying to kick it's way out. But you aren't hurting her. I just always feel like it's a good idea to teach them to tolerate it.

Looks pregnant 100%. Most mares aren't fans of getting their udder touched once it fills and gets sensitive.

I haven’t had her long been really easy going with her trying to earn trust. She came from
a stressful situation, she’s come so far from not wanting me to touch her to welcoming scratches, following me around and letting me take udder pics. I feel like pushing or upsetting her might make her take steps backward so I’m nervous to force her to do something she doesn’t want to. We have no history it makes it harder. My other mares i’d just make them no question. Anyway that’s where I’m at right now, what would you do?

I would remember that I'm the herd leader and I have fair expectations and boundaries. My expectation is that I can touch them and take pictures of their belly, that's not something that is unreasonable or has ever been scary. I will push a little bit but I will also reward. In a herd environment, she will experience pressure from another horse. It's no different. You have a wonderful heart for being so sensitive to her past; however, she is still a horse, a member of the herd, who has expectations. And she looks to me to be getting close!!

Change in her rear not sure if you can see it in the video but there’s indents on each side of her tail head especially if you compare it to last week above?!
