These feeders solved my problem. Instead of taking minutes for them to finish their flake of hay it takes them HOURS. It's made out of the same stuff as the cattle panels except the openings are only 2"x4" I would NOT reccommend them for young/foals as they like to jump on things and I would be affraid they would catch a hoof if they were mounted to low.

by the way I made these for my big itchy Quarter Horses and they can't even bend them!

HA!!! HA!!! I think I found a possible deterant. My husband came home and saw what they did to the wooded area. He went to the hardware store and bought the metal fencing with little squares. We spent 2 hours putting it up in areas where we knew they are constantly chewing. This morning, there wasn't a single flake of wood-dust on the ground. :bgrin

In that area, at least!!! They went to a totally different area of the pen and started on the rail road ties.

: So now, we will be going and wrapping the metal around that this afternoon. By the time I am done, there won't be one single wood area left to destroy!!!

Oh yeah, thank you all for the replies. I added a little bit of fiber in their food dishes yesterday, so hopefully that will help also.
