I have two jennies, and one of them, when the other comes into heat, mounts her... I've seen cows do this, but not horses or donkeys... (I've seen geldings mount mares...but not mares mount other mares). Maybe a dumb question...but just curious if this is pretty common. The jenny being mounted does her mouthing thing, which I've learned is something donkeys do...and squats and pees immediately following being mounted by the other jenny.
The one that does the mounting with each heat cycle has been exposed to a jack as well, I'm also wondering if her mounting behavior might be a little hint as to if she is or is not bred? Probably not, but I am curious.
Had company from out of town this past weekend, and one of the girls was in heat and being mounted several times.... boy were there some questions from our guests! LOL
