Just got the journal today and my National Champion got left out of the results due to the computer error of the show manager at the National show. Even though I did take care of it months ago contacted the AMHR registery got it fixed it on the website and they said they could get it fixed for the magazine in time. Low and behold not fixed. Yipppeee my first National Champion. Bummer, it took me alot phones call to fix it too.

That stinks. At Nationals, I spent a lot of time at the show office trying to correct my client's entries. They had ME down as the owner of the horses and I wanted to make sure that in the results listed in the Journal they had the correct owners down. Fortunately, they did. Sorry that happened! Maybe they could do a correction for the next Journal.

We are on the opposite side of this coin. Our stallion got a 9th in the Open Stallion 34 to 36 Halter Class and they have him listed on the AMHR site and in the Journal as 2nd place. It would be nice but the recognition needs to go to the rightful winner.

Ok I have you all beat

My daughter showed a friends horse in Jr Over mares... granted she was the only one in the class but they have her listed well they dont says no qualified entries... guess they dont think raven counts

So sorry that each of you didn't get the proper recognition. It shows our human side clearly eh!!! I was making booklets for our Church Carol Sing come Sunday, and after double/triple checking everything after I put it ALL together error jump right out at me.

I do hope that the corrections get into the next book for you all. I hope this does not discourage Raven too, too much, and she can find/see something positive from it.

Hey I am not complaining.... I will take the second but I think the people who did win might want the placing. Raven will ALWAYS count.. !

Thanks... Raven could care less really she is one of those who really doesnt even care if she places she is happy mind you but she is one of those who is in it for the process not the end result (at least for now hope that stays with her)

They reversed a couple of pictures of National Grand Champions, too. Not my horses, just noticed the Gelding Over and Under photos do not match the credits given.

I guess I can quit whining! I see its all over the magazine. I saw a results page that said this horse placed 4th in his class but ended up reserve champion. So there is alot of it. Sorry for everyone elses misprints too.

I haven't gotten my Journal yet, but I wonder if my mare's "win" photo is in there for the Youth 7 and Under, Over Senior Mares? They had the pic at the table to order pictures and I did order it, but when my photos came it wasn't in with the others and there was a note and a credit saying that the negative was damaged, sigh.... I was very disappointed.

I can see how there could be mistakes made, there are SO many horses, but it's sad for those that worked so hard and then don't get the recognition that they did.

I hope that the Journal will have corrections for those, in the next issue.

Really?? Isn't this different from in the past? I thought they had pages of pics of winners and reserves of all the classes before.... or maybe they only do that in the World for the AMHA? Oh well...

I saw your post on Little Beginnings. I talked with the Journal and they

said most of the corrections were received too late to change what had been

sent to the printers. I guess everything goes there sometime on the 18-19th

of the month (this would have been Oct) and after that things can't be

changed. If I remember correctly, that is about the time you were e-mailing

Peggy and getting Leonard to send her the corrections, so I guess her

request was received too late. I do not know if the Journal will do

"corrections" of the incorrect info or not - I will ask Zona about that. I

am sorry as I know this was a big disappointment and feel badly that it did

not get changed for you when you spent so much time getting it corrected.

If others with questions will e-mail, I will try and find out what went

wrong with their horses/placings also. Again, I am so sorry that you did

not get the recognition you and your mini deserved for your accomplishments.

When I was looking at the results you could see tons of mistakes. It's like they really don't even care cause now they have your money. Sorry but thats the way I feel.

Fortunatly no mistakes with me BUT I only took top ten in 2 classes.
