Thank you, Danielle. I have spoke with reps from Petsmart, Petco, etc, etc. A lot of this years fundings went to Katrina last year or they gave them out at the end of their first quarter. I have heard those very words from manufacturers, as well as, companies that allocate for grants. I am applying for multiple grants in February for their May deadlines. That is what concerns me now for CMHR. I know poor Ginny sees the bills verses the monies that are available everyday. I know it is a worry for all of the CMHR ladies. More and more rescues are coming in, but donations are not. I rack my brain daily to search for different ways to assist them in finding funding options or different avenues to help. When Nationals is over I am going on a sponsorship hunt. Walmart also has a community grant that I am working on.

I also have been trying to find 4H advisors that will help in fundraising efforts. As an example if we could get these youngin's to help in something as simple as car washes to generate $50 to $100 then that is $50 to $100 dollars that CMHR could use to help these rescues. I just learnt today that I have a neighbor lady who is a 4H advisor and plan on trying to get her involved. I have tried all summer to get at least one advisor to respond back to me and find out there is one two doors down. GEESH!

If ever anyone has any ideas to assist in funding CMHR please do feel free to email them to me or post them here.
