I know I am not the only one who appreciates lovely movement, so I thought others might also like to see some short videos of nice moving minis (or Shetlands). A photo of the horse to show its conformation might be helpful, and also if you could include the height. I think this could also be a way to learn about the different driving classes (SP, CP, WCP or the new Classic Driving) and help people select which one to show in.

Here is a very short video of Aloha Acres Fashion by Magic, a 4 year old mini about 33" tall, just strutting around the pasture. No one is chasing her. What I like about her movement is the suspension in her trot and also the length of stride which you may not see here. She has yet to trot like this in a liberty class, which is too bad because her catch is awesome. She does drive, but does not look like this in harness, so we are still trying to figure out which class. Comments welcome!

Here is a video of my classic shetland filly, Alpha Farms Magical Melody from a few weeks ago.....she is only a two year old but after Congress next year, will be heading to Indiana to start her driving career and will be in the three year old OPEN PLEASURE Futurity ...im excited, to say the least as this girl is my picture of perfection

. I bought her as a weanling with just the highest hopes for her and she has made me very proud. Limited showing this year, as a yearling as she was in that "stage" but she is such a different filly now then she was back in june. She is a total show off.

Here is my show gelding, Wauk-A-Way Kansas Twister, trotting in the roundpen. I love his trot!

He drives and has the same trot in cart as you see in the video. Twister does Single Pleasure and Roadster. He is ASPC/AMHR registered and 37" tall.

And here is my stallion, Country Star Buddy Jewel, showing off in the pasture. Buddy drives and has the same trot in cart as in the video. He does Country Pleasure. Buddy is ASPC/AMHR registered and 36" tall. He is Twister's son.

I dont have any great conformation shots of him.

Here are some illustrations (video) of some of the better-moving horses I have owned myself.

These are all short YouTube videos, I have NOT ever had any "appliances" or "action aids" on any of these horses. They are all shot at an extended trot but not their tail-flagging-over-their-backs type of trots, as that is an exaggerated trot you only get on horses occasionally, for a few moments. Therefore I have tried to get them to extend but not break into a canter, and for the most part you will see they are more interested in eating leaves on the ground than exercising for the camera (I didn't have help to shoot the videos, I just shoot them in the middle of the arena with a can of rocks in my hand, therefore the music so you don't have to listen to rocks shaking

The first is a ASPC/AMHR Shetland who measured 34" tall. His name is "Graham's The Big Picture" and is now owned by Janet Hughes. This is one of THE best moving miniatures I'd ever had the pleasure of owning:

And the last contrast is the most extreme natural trot, a hackney pony. This is my two year old gelding "Diego"... again a totally natural trot.

Just some examples of other small equines trotting. I do appreciate the athletic ability that some elite miniatures really have, but I think recently the introduction from the Shetlands again is really going to enhance their natural ability. I love that the minis really try to stay focused on getting everything natural and frowning upon "enhancement" although I don't mind seeing some of those Moderns and Fine Harness/Road Hackneys really going to work! They have a LOT of drive, a LOT of work ethic, and a LOT of natural talent that makes them so ideal for driving, it's what they were bred to do!

WOW!!! Thanks everyone - this was exactly what I was hoping for. Keep the videos coming. I hope others are enjoying them as much as I am.
