I've bred my maiden mare to a stallion at Quicksilver Ranch in Solvang, CA. He is Little America's San Miguel. Has anyone heard of this farm name and if so, I'd just like to see where he's from!

Tony is one of the veterans of the mini industry (sorry Tony).

He is very knowledgable. I am sure if you contacted him he could give you the scoop.

I think that you will be very pleased with your foal. San Miguel is homozygous, so you will get a pinto foal. His dam was a black and white pinto mare and his sire a really beautiful sorrel and white pinto. Here is his pedigree along with a picture of him, his sire, and dam.

Well Hello Tony!!

Thank you so much for this information! This is absolutely so cool to know the history behind San Miguel. I don't know if you're familiar with Quicksilver Ranch, but it's a wonderful farm and all of their horses are loved and cherished. San Miguel has 20 acres of beautiful oak tree laden Santa Ynez Valley grasslands to roam and flirt. To me, it's the most perfect place in the country to live. Wonderful weather w/ coastal breezes. They also have other Little America's: Xenon Easter Lady, It's Lorreta Lynn & Zephyr.

Again...thank you so much for the info. I'm on pins and needles waiting for my babies births. Will update you as soon as possible.

Karen

I love the Stribling's wonderful place and have been there a couple of times. They are a wonderful couple and great customers. We have a couple of Quicksilver mares too.

If you are ever in Texas, please plan on coming for a visit. Ours is not fancy like the Striblings, but we have some nice horses.
