I think they are sugar-free, but I could be wrong. They were hard candies always served in doctor's offices when I was little. They were round, you couldn't bite into them, they came in different colors (yellow, green, pink), and always felt cold in your mouth.

Does anyone have any idea what candies I'm talking about? Lol

Hey, I bet they could be hard candies sweetened with "sorbitol". If you do an internet search, or look on Amazon.com, you'll probably find a good selection of "hard candies sorbitol". That sweetener does feel cool in your mouth. It has, I think, a little less calories than real sugar (but probably most candies now have corn syrup -- another subject LOL!), but I don't think all that much less. For me, they do impact my blood sugar less, but if you eat "too many" of them, it will cause stomach issues (use your imagination and you'll probably be right on track with what I mean!).

You know, I have no clue.. But for as long as I can remember I have been trying to figure out the name of the hard candies that were always in the chiropractor's office my Mom always went to.. I was born in '87 and remember them from the ages of 3-5 yrs. They were hard, colored (I remember orange, yellow, green).. Individually wrapped (I think).. The color was prominent but not overly dyed if that makes sense. I remember the texture being smooth and flat, but kind of oval, round in shape. As for taste, fruity but not overly.. Yep, still no clue. :)

GoLightly's Sugar Free Assorted Fruit Hard Candy includes Cherry, Lime, Lemon, Tangerine, and Watermelon flavors.

Jill, I do think it might have sorbitol in it. That seems to explain why the candies were cold, but I can't seem to find them anywhere, and now it's really bothering me. I remember that the colors were pale, not vibrant. And it seems like it had a soft dusting of powder of the outside but I can't be sure about that. They did come individually wrapped.

Michelle, I think I know what candies you are talking about but I can't seem to remember what they were called. Did they sort of dip in the middle, kind of like a raft night look? Sorry, that's the best way I can describe them. Lol.

Nope, not raft shape.. I just remember the top and bottom being very flat and smooth. I believe clear wrappers.

Our search continues :)

It looks like the bottome ones "could" be them. I can't blow up the picture to see the details well enough but I just might have to order some and see. Thank you!
