I am looking to upgrade to a better camera. Back when I purchased my current camera, the Canon Rebels were all the rage, but I couldn't afford the price tag! I've been researching cameras again to upgrade, and read that the new Rebels weren't as good as some of the older versions.

Does anyone have and use the Canon EOS Digital Rebel 300D? I'm looking at buying one used, in like new condition, that actually comes with an additional zoom. The zoom that comes with is a 80-200MM lens.

Thank you!

Anyone???

You might want to PM Getia, I know she uses a Very good Canon camera and there is someone else on here that uses them that does photography. I have a "cheaper" Canon and think there the best. (IMO)

I have the Canon EOS Rebel and I love it! Hubby got it for me for Christmas a couple of years ago, and altho I'm still learning on it, one thing that I really wanted it to have and it does, is the continuous snap shot picture taking thingie....my brain is'nt working this morning and I can't remember what it's called. But anyway when I take action shots I can continue to shoot and get the next photo without any hesitation. I also am looking into getting a zoom lens for it. I think if you get one you won't be dissappointed.

Thank you Sterling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I appreciate the info very much.

Since we moved, we have so much wildlife and beautiful schenery around us, and the camera I have now just doesn't cut it. I'm thinking this is going to be the best step up for me now, being an amateur, it may take me a while to learn how to use it too!

Thanks again!

Geri, just keep that booklet handy and refer back to it time and again. That's how I've learned...plus the help of hubby every now and then...it's so exciting when you realize all that little thing can do! Good luck!! Show us some pics when you get it and start snapping away!
