The british miniature thread caused me to do some surfing and searching........I did not realize this farm was still around........I have seen the Toyhorse name in a number of pedigrees.........

Toyhorse

Very cool they started the same way as most mini shetlands bred down...only these were mini european shetlands

Some of my friends actually met the owner of Toyhorse and toured their farm when they were in England. They said she is a very nice lady.

Well for some reason whenever I heard them discussed I was under the impression they weren't around anymore kinda fun to see they still are.

There are over 20 registries for miniature horses throughout the World and that is what so confusing....Why oh why can't their just be one or 2 Period.

not sure where you came up with that idea...............I know it is a farm just like fallabella or van't huttenest, or del tera....just didn't realize that Stud was still in existence

Sorry it just seemed like that was the assumption, many over here have been led to believe it.

Actually the Falabella is a breed and has their own registry which has been in existence just after AMHR and before AMHA. Falabella is the family's name and farm name still. They are considered a rare breed.

not to try and start something...but anyone could create a registry and call themselves a "seperate" breed. I mean anyone could do that like make the little king horses a Breed instead of a strain......although from what I understand the falabella at least only allows registration with fallabella papers which is a step closer to being a true breed than amha and amhr

teehee, the old bloak eh!!!

Tikki Adorian, the owner of Toyhorse, was an honorary AMHA director for a number of years and I visited her place in England a number of years ago. She had several production sales through the years and had a beautiful old place when we were there.

We have a stallion DCF Jumping Jack Flash and a show gelding DCF Limericky that their sire is "Toyhorse Little Limelight" that was imported from England. Our friend and trainer Bruce Abbott from Dawns Chase Farm located in New York owns Limey which is a black and white pinto that measures 28 inches that is a awesome stallion. DCF Jumping Jack Flash has sired black and white pintos so far and they have both Jack's & Limey's very "look at me" attitude. DCF Limericky received 6 National Top Ten's at the 2005 AMHR Nationals and was recently inducted in the Hall of Fame in Roadster, and is in the running for 2005 AMHR All Star Performer awards as well.
