I am so sotrry for your loss. Sounds like the foal died in utero causing her to expell early, and thus maybe the reason it was not in proper foaling position? I guess one never knows. Again, I am so sorry for your loss and hope Diva will be OK.

So sorry for your loss, but so glad that your mare is alive. Mine tried to be born the same way, plus her hocks were up front too and we could not get the foal out, so the mare had to be put down. I am so, so glad your mare lived!
