I have never heard this before, but i am looking at two mares that are very very nice, but the seller says that their sire is a Argentina sire so they cannot be registered or even hardshipping into AMHA or AMHR ? The email is below. My plans would have to be to hardship them, but it sounds like i could not do so? Maybe this will make more sense to someone on here ...

Neither of them are registered. Sheba is out of Argentina sire, show quality. They are not accepted in the AMHA or AMHR. I am not at the farm, but I will be tomorrow and will send pictures. Sheba has excellent conformation and Emma the same. I will send pictures tomorrow morning.

Does this make sense to anyone at all?

It doesn't matter what they were sired by. If the mares are 5 years old and actually 34" or under they can be hardshiped into AMHA.

The Agentine sire is probably a Falabella. Harshipping in AMHA if they are under 34" is possible if they are 5 and if the dam's are AMHR they may accept hardship in AMHR as well as AMHR limits hardship now only to AMHA horses (I think) and Falabellas.

Tammie is probably right about the sire being a Falabella. I would suggest you contact Wendy Strong here in Ontario. She fought hard and successfully to get the Falabella's into the AMHR, and I'm sure she'll be able to explain everything to you. [email protected]
