Yes I have seen the video before. I am in awe every time I watch at how smart she is. I love when she ignores her neighboring horse as if to say "oh it's you, you're not getting free" and lets the next horse after out.
The horse she ignores is her mother! Lol. There's another video on youtube where they interview the owner and apparently she never opens her mom's door.
wow! lol My sisters old horse, Donny is similar--he opens the top door all the time! (puts his mouth on and turns the handle) then one time he lifted the lock too. if I don't lock his stall door, then he puts his nose through the bars and opens it--such a little stinker lol
We just saw it on the news last night! Hope they have the feed locked up tight! We had a POA gelding who would reach over and play with his latch too and the stall next to him (latch was on his side of that gate). My husband ended up putting small pinch clips on the gates on cable wire so each stall had one all the time. He couldn't pinch those open. Also were nice for when smaller children were around. They couldn't open the gates.
I had horse that learned to slide the iron bolt over and open a gate. The first few times it happens you think you've been careless (or someone else has been careless!). Then you catch the culprit at work. It made me feel bad to fix it so he couldn't open it anymore; he was so cocky with his cleverness.
