If you watch Whale Wars on Animal Planet you are no stranger to Paul Watson, Captain of the Sea Shepherds. My family roots have a history with the ocean so I am very passionate about what is going on out there.
If you don't have a clue who he is, here is my brief summary: Paul Watson is a hippie from back in the day who had no use for government (The Establishment). . He is a conservationist and one of the founders of GreenPeace, which he eventually quit to start The Sea Shepherds. The Sea Shepherds goal is to protect life in International waters; whales, dolphins, stop the clubbing of baby seals etc., by any means they can except hurting a human in the process. Instead, the Sea Shepherds are masters at sabotage....always have a plan in place to "detain" (or destroy) the Whaling ships. They are winning the battle by causing so much damage to these ships amounting in millions of dollars they hope they will someday give up whaling completely. Paul Watson is very arrogant, self righteous, confident and a lot of things and he's always in trouble, but he doesn't waste his time; he's a doer and gets the job done. This is one of his old speaches.
