Our new horse, isnt a mini, its a Shetland Pony! We have been drooling over the shetlands for a while now. I wanted to start a very limited breeding program, raising a few shetland and/or AMHR larger driving horses for us. So Keely and I have been looking for a superb shetland to start with. We would like to announce our new stallion, Pans Cody Earl Grey HOF in halter! Grey is also a very well trained driving pony and we will see you at the shows in 08. Sorry but I dont have any photos of Grey that do him justice and my digital is broken so I will have to post photos as soon as I can.

Besides Grey I just got a new B sized appy driving gelding. I do have nice photos of him. Please check out my post on the main forum to see him.

Two new horses to drive that both love to GO!!!!!! Yep Im a happy camper

Congratulations! I've seen your boy show before and he's a very pretty mover. When I saw him he reminded me of his maternal grandsire Frisco Cody's Prince VB. If you haven't seen Prince there should be a picture of him on the Ancestors page at http://www.bellevuefarm.com He is now owned by Bobbi Shelt in Ohio and I visited him just last month and he has one foal on the way for 2008.

(Prince and Roadrunner Cody's Copy were the last producing son's of Silver Mane's Frisco Cody. Copy is the bay stallion in my avatar and his fertility dropped in 2007 to the point where he will likely sire no more foals which makes Prince the last producing son of Silver Mane's Frisco Cody.)

Congratulations on your purchases! I hope you have a lot of fun with both of them.

Wow, thanks Lewella for info and history. I am very into learning more about the horses background. Thanks for nice comments on Grey. I have not even gotten to see him in harness yet but I did drive him and he was a blast. He has lots of GO but will trot almost in place when I asked him to slow down. He is very cool. We heard a story about him running away with his driver at congress 1 year so I guess he was quite the spirited boy a few years ago. I would love to hear anything else anyone may know about him. I am really enjoying him.

...Congrats on your Shetland pony! We got into the ponies about a year ago and love doing the Shetland shows also, especially Congress, its a blast and we are looking forward to attending the 2008 pony shows.

The shetlands are just as bad as having miniatures, just like potato chips, you can't just have ONE! Actually we have 5 now after aquiring the first one in October 2006.

You are right! I already am looking for a couple shetland and hopefully AMHR fillies/mares! Im real happy that there are at least 2 or 3 AMHR/Shetland shows held right in Bushnell( where I live) every year. Ive already fallen for the shetlands. I have kept a couple here for Keely and driven hers and they are hard not to like!
