Did you see? Did you see? Easy boot released their Mini Easy Boots today! I'm so excited. They come in 4 sizes. I'm off to the barn to measure me some tiny feet!

I have tried out a pair of the prototypes and is very pleased with them.

I even put some ice studs in them. Not sure yet how they are holding up this way.

What driving conditions would make these necessary?

I was wondering the same thing. My minis have really good feet. When would you use these?

Living where I do, I would say the boots could be used for the same reasons as I would on my riding horses...driving down gravel/crushed rock roads and blacktop roads can be hard on them too if driven on them a lot. For summer, the cleats would not be needed, but for icy surfaces in the winter, the studs would work great.

What is hard on them, in your opinion? To the joints or to the hooves?

Marsha, I am speaking only from experience with my riding horse's feet, but in their case, I am referring to their hooves. The stone bruising on the sole, and the fast wearing from the blacktop. I guess the concussion of the pounding when trotting would be hard on them too.

I also think they would be good for minis with tender feet that have the tendency to be laminatic or recovering from founder etc.

if you drive a lot on gravel roads their hoofs get worn down pretty fast and in the winter you need them to get out with the horses at all.
Depending on where you live, of course

when we go horse camping and drive twice a day for 3 or 4 days boots are a very good idea.
