Can you all help me out with some companies that make trailers for miniatures or ponies? I'm seriously considering upgrading, but I can't seem to find what I want. What I'd like is a bumper pull with living quarters, set up for minis. I know gore makes a mini trailer, but not a living quarters Bp. I've seen Bp with living quarters, but set up for big horses. If anyone knows a company that makes one, or has some ideas to look into I would appreciate it.

Who was that marvelous lady with van conversions and a mini trailer who would go camping with her wee ones? She posted a great thread that was enjoyable to follow along with. There's been a good deal of conversation around mini trailer conversions.

Was that Kelly? I haven't seen anything from her in a while. I may have to convert something, but I can't do the work, and no one around here does it. It would be nice if I could find something close to start with. And some of the companies mentioned years ago are no longer in business. Ideally I would find something used, but I don't think that's likely.

For LQ it's not like you'll want a shorter/smaller trailer and I think there are a couple of companies that make inserts to convert big-horse trailers for minis. So you might be best off with a standard 2H LQ trailer, then just converting the horse space to work for the minis.

Yes Kelly! I hope she's well. I really enjoyed following along with her adventures. She gave me a lot of ideas and inspiration for my current treks and working with what I have for "camping" this summer coming up.

I haven't been able to find any company that makes inserts. Hawk does make a mini trailer that I can maybe get with a bigger tack room, but they don't offer any pictures, or details on it other than the cost and a floor plan drawing.

I have been looking for a trailer as well, but not with living quarters. I would love a retro looking 2 mini horse trailer, but I don't think that's going to come to fruition as it doesn't look like there are many choices in mini trailers out there at all. There is another mini trailer company I found during my research, you may have already heard of it, but if not, it is Gore Trailers out of North Carolina. It looks like they make quality trailers. Their website infers that they would custom make a trailer. The website has a phone number. Good luck.

I contacted my local gore dealer, it looks like they will do some minor adjustments. I'm kind of thinking that if I get an extra large tack room I can bunk in it overnight. I've been using a 2 horse stock and that has worked well. But I'm thinking about showing more, and having box stalls for the horses and a place to sleep for me would make that easier.
