I belong to the NorthWest 4-H Club, we are a multi club with 22 members. We have Rabbit, Sheep, Cavy, Photography, and Miniature Horse!
I am the junior leader for our Miniature Horse Club and we have been working hard already. A few of these kids have horses but three in our group have never groomed or led a horse in their life. All the girls in our club share a love for horses. So far this year we have learned about Miniature Horses in their breed standard, horse colors, horse breeds, horse safety (we have studied thsi a lot), and horse equipment.
For a bit of fun and a break we had a Miniature Horse Party. We played Horse-Opoly, watched Black Beauty, and went outside (It was COLD -14!) and fed the Miniature Horses muffins we baked them. Everyone had a great time.
Here are the pictures from the event! I hope you enjoy!
All of us together asa group. The silver dapple is Glory, who belongs to Sarah the girl holding her. The sorrel in the middle is my horse Spyder, but the little blonde girl holding her is leasing him from me for her 4-H project this year. The little sorrel horse on the far right is Cinnabar, who is my 4-H project this year.
Frankie (who has never led a horse before she did this project), with Cinnabar and Cassandra and Chloe.
Chloe feeds Cinnabr a muffin.
This is my favorite picture of Morgan feeding Spyder his muffin.
Sarah with her horse Glori
Another group picture...Spyder is trying to steal the muffins!
Little Christina with Spyder.
