Don't know what I'm getting into showing dogs, but hey, can't be much harder than horses.....right???

Good luck! Love those corgis but of course you know that. Just relax and do what everyone else is..... I used to show Lhasa Apsos, Japanese Chins and French Bulldogs. I loved it but Hubby made me chose dog shows or horse shows not both.... no contest there.

I use to show the Dobes and I had a HOOT!!! Everyone was very friendly (and a little patronising about the undocked tails) UNTIL we beat them, then some were less friendly!! In that way they are exactly the same as the horse crowd.

Thanks! I'm not too worried about it...but still...I don't want to look like a fool. Mox is pretty good on the leash now, so that was my biggest worry. Her breeder will be there and said he'd help me too!

Here's a pic of her in the snow this afternoon! (My only thought was thank god it's snowing, and not raining, or she'd be covered in mud!!! lol)

She sure is a cutie...and looks like she loves the snow too! I don't "show" dogs per say.....but I've been taking Lakota to puppy classes and we went to an agility workshop...and I plan to do some rallys this winter with her. I know not the same thing, but it's all still fun!

Best of luck at your shows! She looks so happy in the snow. Ive shown dogs for about 30 years now. I currently have chinese cresteds and affenpinschers that I have owned and shown for years and just starting with mini dachshunds and have one entered in his 1st shows next weekend. U will do fine its very much like showing the horses at halter.

We showed Great Danes on the circuit for 9 years. All over the states east of the Mississippi. Had all females. All three of them. In 11 years we bred three litters!

Wanted quality not quanity and ended up with a professional handler in the end at the Specialities and Majors to finish their Champianhips.

Everyone knew my dogs from St Louis to Wisconsin, to Michigan,New York and states in between etc, but didn't know my name:)

It was fun but also like any show world if you admit it, political and at times catty.

Unspoken, but still it is and after a while it just got old so we stayed home and just enjoyed them.

Hope you do well and good luck! Maxine
