Must haves when reading

When you know that you are sitting down for a good amount of time to read, is there anything in particular that you like to have with you?

I love to have a couple of pillows, maybe a blanket, my cell phone (within reach), and sometimes a bowl of chips or popcorn. I tend to leave the water bottle behind because I don't want to make too many trips to the bathroom (I always end up getting side tracked or remembering something I have to do). Lol.

peppermint tea and a blanket if I'm home alone and able to settle into my book. Otherwise it's grab my Kindle and read as I'm cooking dinner, putting away dishes, or any other house hold tasks I can do with one hand.

Oh man, if only I had a dollar for how many things I've burned because I was too busy reading instead of watching the stove! Lol

A mug of decaffeinated tea, the phone, and my glasses. The phone only because it always rings when I am reading.

A throw to cover my legs because I always end up with the cat, something to munch on and a soda or water. Good light is a must have.

My husband and I had to buy small lamps for both of our nightstands so that we could read before bed. I used to read by a small booklight when I stayed up late and didn't think we'd need the lamps. But I have to admit, I love them! When I'm tired, I turn mine off and he still has his to read by (and vice versa). And we no longer have to get out of bed to turn a switch off. So good lighting is a great answer!

No less than three pillows (I read in bed), a lamp on my nightstand, I don't like bright lights so I read in somewhat low light, and having the lamp on the nightstand helps. And, something yummy to drink. Oh, and the phone close by so I don't have to jump up if it rings.
