Robin, my prayers are with you and the family. I'm so terribly sorry for your loss. Your father sounds like such a wonderful man. I know you all will miss him terribly. I'm sure your mom and dad are together now and beginning their eternity together.

I was always use to calling my daddy anytime I needed advice or simply to share my thoughts with him. It's been 7 years now and still feels so shocking to realize he's gone. May God bring comfort to your hearts while bringing wonderful memories to your minds.

Blessings and Condolences, Robin. Your father was a wonderful man........

Interestingly, my husband's dad also chose this time of year to join The Love Of His Life.......My father-inlaw passed just before Christmas this year. It does bring some comfort to know our dads are having a joyful reunion right now.

Dear Robin I JUST read your post, cant stay on very long at a time..anyway I'm SO moved at your wonderful post about your dad..what a marvelous man he must have been! And what a vacancy there will be for you in your heart.

I remember when I lost my dad 4 yrs ago and it still hurts but with time it's better and the pictures in your mind get you through

Oh Robin. I am so sorry for your loss. Sounds like your dad lived life on his own terms and that you gave him plenty of joy right back. My heart aches for you. My dad turned 70 yesterday, a fact I can hardly wrap my mind around. There are "some" parents that are a true gift to their children, and also to the world. Your dad sounds like he was sure one of them.

Sending hugs your way, that was just simply a beautiful eulogy to his life and what he meant to you.

Last night was the viewing. Somehow, we got through it. On tuesday there will be a burial of his ashes.
