Back in June of 2007, I rescued this german shepherd. A lady was selling puppies, and when I went to see them, I saw this girl, and begged to take her home. At the time, Lakota was very underweight, never seen a vet and a very dry coat. Now, 7 months later, I would like to share how she looks! She is a very picky eater and hard to put weight on, so we are still working on that, but she has gained about 8 lbs since I got her. She weighs 59lbs, and the vet wants to see her at 65lbs, so we are almost at our goal! She is a registered and pure bred GSD.

Very pretty dog! You've done a great job and she's really got the life doesn't she? Very lucky little girl.

Now, can you come over here and get weight on my GSD for me like that? (sigh)

What are you feeding?

Marty,

I am currently feeding Purina Pro Plan. But the vet told me to try this other high energy food called momentum (I am still waiting on it's arrival). I have to order it in from the states, so we hope this will help her even more. But I find the Purina Pro Plan is great stuff.

If your interested, here is the link to the Momentum site. A vet created it for racing sled dogs, so you can imagine how high in energy it is. http://www.drtims.com/products.htm
