: (talk about feeling like you have a bed and breakfast..) I was telling them about CMHR, now most these friends have horses, just not minis, but LOVE my little "kids" so one thing led to another, and I told them not to be so cheap and donate something to Chances,(I am not known to have a quiet mouth at times :bgrin ) we laughed, I went into the house and found my sister was making a "donation" jar to set in my backard! We laughed again when she set it out..well, by that evening we had almost $250.00 in it, plus I managed to sell 2 t-shirts and 4 cookbooks! YAHOOOOOOOOO....PLUS a few more friends are SUPPOSE to be giving me something for CMHR. My backyard cookout was a great success for CMHR, and we never even had it with that intention..but its great it turned out like that! Everyone who has alot of company over should give this a try..every little bit helps. Check is on the way to CMHR. Corinne

Corinne, wow now that is a great way to have a cookout!! What wonderful friends and relatives you have. Please give them a great big hug (((((((((((HUG))))))))) from me personally since being Treasurer of CMHR I know how badly we needs the funds. Thank you so much for "talking" us up. You can talk for as long as you like!!! Thank you, thank you!

Way to go, Corinne and company.

I don't think that would work around here... I mentioned horse rescue in front of my FIL today and he said "what do horses have to be rescued from?" :new_shocked: I explained and then he understood what I was talking about. [You have to understand, my FIL has been around horses most of his 70 years; trains them, used to raise quarter horses, currently has two percheron teams, a Fjord team and 3 saddle horses. He's just used to them being for work, not companionship; so whole different thought process. Dont' get me wrong, he's very good to his horses, he just doesn't think of them as part of the family (like I do or we would).]

Thank you Corinne!!!!

What a backyard barbeque!!!!!! :aktion033: :aktion033: :aktion033:

:aktion033: Oh wow! You are fabulous! Please thank everyone that was at your barbeque! Now that is what I call spirit! Woo hoo!

Oh, you guys have great ideas! Here is one I have in store for Kay and I in the early spring/late winter. I intend to find a bar or restaurant and us guest bartend or wait tables. When I managed a bar years ago we had some Drs come in and do it. Worked great for an MS drive we did.
