If you guys have a problem with posting my show results please let me know. I like sharing how I do but I know some people get a bit touchy.

Today was a very wet day. It started POURING after costume until jumping, then pouring again after that for the rest of the show.

Showmanship 13-17 (Chantilly) - 1st/4

Halter A Stallions (Diego)- 2nd/9 He performed so well for us in this class. His halter broke right before it though.

Halter A Mares (Chantilly)- 2nd/8 I think

Halter A Geldings (Dusty)- 4th/ no idea how many, but a lot.

Solid Color (Dusty and Diego) - Dusty placed 3rd, Diego didn't. There were about 15 in that class so Dusty racked up some points!

Open Driving (Chantilly) - 2nd/4

Trail 13-17 (Chantilly and Dusty) Dusty 6th/8 Chantilly 7th/8. I was not happy on how this was placed. Chantilly refused one obstacle (a feed bag bridge) yet another horse refused sidepassing and they placed 4th. Chantilly did everything else perfectly. Dusty did terrible in backing up and sidepassing. Oh well, can't do well in all.

Jumping 13-17 (Timed) (Chantilly and Dusty) Dusty 4th/7? Chantilly 1st/7?. Im so proud, Chantilly's first jumping win!

Gamblers Choice (Jumping over jumps with different point values for 45 seconds. Chantilly and I would have won because she had an awesome round. She jumped all the high point jumps, but then she refused one and I pulled her lead and the halter fell off. So I had to fix it yet they kept the timer running so I only got 70 points. I was very dissapointed because I wished they would have let me back in. So a few tears were shed but that was mostly because I wanted Chantilly to get a chance to shine. She did so well for me.

Pole Bending (Chantilly and Dusty) - Chantilly- 3rd Dusty- 2nd

Gymkhana Challenge (Egg and Spoon) Dusty got 1st/2

And Pairs Speed Barrels - With Chantilly and our partner we won the class.

No pics, we forgot our camera

Rocky Rocket

1st in Showmanship 8 and under (out of 6)

3rd in 'A' halter geldings (Out of 10+)

4th in solid color (out of 16)

Monarch's Cherry Bomb (AKA Slick)

2nd in 'B' Halter Geldings (out of 10+)

1st in Leadline (out of 3)

My friend's daughter showed Rocky in Showmanship. It was her first show ever in her life and Rocky's 2nd show. She also showed him in the color class. There were so many people and horses there. All the classes were full. It was very over cast and I have a feeling the afternoon classes got rained out. We are getting 2 inches of rain an hour right now and we drove home in the rain after the show. Overall it was a GREAT day. Loren had a good time and so did the horses. I loved it!!

Oh my gosh, that last picture of Loren and the winnings shot are two of the most adorable pictures I've ever seen. All the shots are great, I think Dusty is very handsome and Rocky is so cute and so good, but that shot of Loren sleeping...man.

Thanks so much for sharing, both of you!

Leia

P.S.- When are you going to let Loren's hair grow out again? He looks so cute with it longer!

That is nice of you to say! It was fun to have Miss Miniseasons ther with me, although we did not get to talk much.

I HAD to take that pictre of Loren asleep in the truck on the way home. It was just too perfect!

And as for his hair, his daddy is in the militar, so the boy wants to look like his daddy. He can decide when he wants to grow it our again, but for mow Loren likes it short. :flirt:

Wow those classes sound big. Wish we could get some of them to come over to Colonial. Sounds like you had a great day MiniSeasons. I love hearing the placings!!

Whoohoo Jessica, you did great!

Aww and little Loren looks so cute, congrats to Rocky and Slick on their wins aswell!

Thank you! I had a lot of fun and again, I regret not talking much to Shell. She was right behind my spot in the ring during showmanship and could hear her giving pointers to the little girl who did so well!

Thanks for the pictures! Please be aware that Diego was stretching himself like that. My mom isn't the best handler so she didn't realize he was set up and stretching like that.

Same thing happened with me and Slick. I didn't realize how streched out he was either. I am not a good handler, but I have a lot of fun!! I have no clue what I am doing out there. Streched or not, Slick still got second out of a BIG class. So, I am ok with it. :bgrin

You are right Karla,

This show is not rated and there are mainly kids at this show. There were several adults this time, however. If you look behind Chantilly in those pictures you can see Starlette, the dwarf born at my farm last year. Her new owners love her dearly and are aware of her condition yet still have great fun. There was some good competition this past weekend, however.

And thank you for the compliment! I try to look professional no matter how small the show.

Congratulations to you both. :aktion033:

I miss showing at NbarH this year, but hope to show again next year.

It's a great place to practice showing, people are so helpful. It may not be rated but it's a great group of people and it's loads of fun.
