need help with a christmas project.

I am making a neat gift for my Boyfriend for christmas. it's a wood box with his name on it ( I painted it and painted his name on it)

He says he defintly likes Star Constellations. How would I put this on a box.

I thought about painting this on there but HOW?

I want to add something to both sides of the name, but how do you add star constellations to it???

Maybe print out some constellations and/or the horsehead nebula and sorta decoupage them onto the box??

I would paint the inside of the box dark blue. Then pick a constellation to paint inside.

 

[Watcheye]

Paint it dark blue. Then use very watered down white paint and make large circular marks wherever the stars will be. This is the shiny reflective light (or whatever you want to call it). Then in the center of each mark, make a bold white dot. That obviously would be the star itself. You may mix a smidge of blue mixed with white to add to the shine marks. I hope that made sense....
