Any news from the vet yet? I have been thinking of you all day.

Nita and Jodi, I'm sending prayers the that little sweetie too! {{{Hugs}}}

I saw a story on animal planet about a former cow horse that went blind. his owner was able to teach him to maneauver around while she was handling him by simply teaching him the commands "step up" amd "step down" so he wouldn't fall. you could also teach her left and right too. this horse became a very willing show horse even with his blindness, because know he knows he has to listen to his owners or he will run into something. the owner can still ride him, walk trot and canter, and teaches kids on him. he is still even used as a cutting horse! so no, i doubt her blindess will affect her much. she'll adapt anyways. just be weary of her all the time. especially when teaching her something new, like halter breaking her. remember, she can't SEE what you are doing with her head. try to teach her lots of voice commands. that may help.

oh, i am

i hope she'll pull through. she will be one very spoiled little girl! and smart too. and probably more responsive, as she will have to rely on what you say.
