The New England Miniature Horse Society is sponsoring a Show and Clinic focused on the Novice, Youth and Amateurs on May 21, 2006 in Greene, Rhode Island. In 2005, we held just a Novice Show and it was extremely successful so we decided to expand this Show/Clinic to more people. We have a show schedule of over 80 classes - judged by an AMHA(American Miniature Horse Association) carded judge. After the show is over, this judge will provide feedback on various points to help each exhibitor. This show and clinic provides the double benefit of the competition of a show with the learning experience of a clinic. For those who have never shown a miniature to our more experienced amateurs and youth, this event will be helpful to everyone. The saying "no experienced required" is very applicable to this event!!
Any AMHA registered horse is welcomed to this event. This is our first of many sanctioned NEMHS shows which culminates in our year-end banquet and year-end awards. We are the oldest and most successful AMHA club in the New England area. Don't forget to mark MAY 21, 2006 on your calendars for this show.
Our additional sanctioned NEMHS shows include:
Bethany Lions AMHA Miniature Horse Show on June 4, 2006 at Bethany, Connecticut
NEMHS Extravaganza at the BIG E in West Springfield, Mass on June 16, 2006
Peter Carton Memorial Miniature Horse Show on Saturday/Sunday, June 17 and June 18 at the Bid E.
Sea Coast Classic Horse Shows in Topsfield, Mass on July 15th and July 16th, 2006.
NEMHS Last Chance/Futurity Show in Portland, Ct on August 20, 2006.
As you can see, we have quite an exciting schedule of shows planned for 2006. Come and join our organization and participate in these wonderful shows. Additional information is available from any of the officers or BOD members of our society. You can find them at www.nemhs.org You may contact our secretary, Heather Catarius at [email protected] or myself at [email protected]. If you would like a showbook which has information on all of the above shows, you can also contact our showbook coordinator, Jane Phillips at [email protected] .
