Hi All, I got a new harness about a year ago and am only just beginning to use it on my boy Ike. I have been tweeking the fit like crazy as it was originally fitted to a bigger mini and Ike came with his own harness so I had no reason to use it until now.
It has driven me crazy letting this harness sit so I began getting the harness shop to sub out some parts for smaller ones, and I am breaking it in and fitting it to my aerocrown and using it in my lessons now. I also had some trace carriers made, a new cavassen, a longer tab from the top of the breast collar to the saddle, I know it should angle back better, but we had some problems with the shorter tab too, so jury still out on that fitting. I also think in a couple of photos the britching looks a bit low, but in the running up hill photo it rides up a bit, we might be between holes as one hole up is too high looking and doesn't look level. At this setting we tested him going down a slope and he was holding the cart nicely and was very comfortable and relaxed so for now we are trying this setting.
I had a lesson today and my trainer took some pictures for me. We made some additional adjustments along the way during the lesson, but I think the photos that will be posted are pretty close to what we ended up with today by the time we were done.
I am asking Angie to post 4 photos for me, so they will be attached soon if she can get them posted for me. I can't post photos for some reason... so stay tuned. Will have photos soon to see what you ladies think. I have a couple close ups of the harness, one good one of the cart and one where we are running up hill and one where we are wandering down a slope I think.
Best wishes..
