Hi, I am Emily! I live in Maine.

I have bought a weanling miniature mare and will be picking her up at the beginning of November. She is my first miniature, but I have had larger horses in the past.

I plan to train her to ride/drive when she is of course old enough to do so.

If anyone has any recommendations on what to give her for ulcer prevention for weaning and her trailer ride home, I’d love to get feedback.

Thanks! Have a great rest of the day!

Welcome to this forum. I have no answer for your question but I’m glad you are here. I’ m sure someone will have an answer for you. Everyone is so helpful here. Congratulations on your new mini.

Welcome @EmilyDuncan and congratulations on your new friend! Driving is so much fun, I've quit riding! I would get your new little on probiotics before and continue after the trailer ride. And ensure she's got hay to munch on for the whole trip. How far is she coming?

Welcome EmilyDuncan!

Wait. What??😲 A whole month? 🤯 We have to wait that long to see your new little buddy? 🤣😂

Congratulations! Looking forward to meeting your new addition. 😊

Great tips from StandardsEquine on her travels. I would add a nice cozy stall for her as your weather may mirror our Minnesota November and be on the colder side. Will she have company in her new home?

All the best to you both!
