[SIZE=12pt]We bought more cows last night! The seller was just waiting for our final pick and had a transporter standing by. We picked out 4 black angus cow/calf pairs (3 heifer calves and one little bull destined for the freezer)...his name (according to Mia) is "Steak"~LOL. [/SIZE]
Since our heartbreaking loss of Eleanor this spring to a broken back, we had held off buying more cattle, but we were ready. This brings Ferdinand the bull's little band up to 6 mature cows, 2 first calf heifers, 1 steer (named Hamburger), for the freezer this winter, the 2 bull calves (T-bone and Steak)and 3 heifer calves.
They arrived about 8 PM last night (so it wasn't too hot to haul them) and Steve is beside himself with excitement!
