New Pirates of the Caribbean Movie

Anyone else as into it as me? I couldn't wait to see it and I wasn't disapointed! It was VERY good, I loved it. I won't give anything away but the ending sure is a cliffhanger, can't wait to see the next one (I thought they would ruin it with a third but they really pull you in)!

I can't wait to see the new one! I have practically worn out the DVD on the first one! Mike did not like Capt'n Jack at first, but he grew on him, and now he will pop it in to watch too. He is almost as excited as I am to see Dead Man's Chest! Glad to hear that you liked it!! :aktion033:

Just got back from watching it at the Multiplex. Very good movie!!! Enjoyed the first one, enjoyed this one, looking forward to the next one. What I enjoy is seeing how close the Pirates of the Carribbean ride at Disneyland and the movie match up real well. I even remember seeing the mutt terrier with the key hanging out of his mouth. :lol: The movie was super full...glad we got there early and got good seats!

I heard the reason this one took so long was because they filmed part of the 3rd one at the same time?

Were going to see it today, I cant wait! I loved the first one, saw it a million times.

I saw it when the theaters opened on Friday, the noon showing! Okay, so I'm a geek! But the evening shows were already sold out when we got there at 11:30 in the morning.

I loved it, can't wait to go again! (I told you I'm a geek!)

I must be a bigger geek than you then....

I live in a small town and we bought advance tickets and saw it on opening day, one minute after midnight. The line was huge and they had posters and tiki torches on the sidewalk out front. The owner of the theater dressed as a pirate along with all the employees - quite some excitement for such a small town!

Let's be proud of our geekdom!!!!

We saw it yesterday and loved it too!!! The Pirates movies are so much fun to watch!! Didn't even feel like we were sitting there for 2.5 hours!!

Only when we got to the theater, EVERY SCHEDULED SHOWING for the day was already sold out. :new_shocked:

We assumed that would likely be the case anywhere else too,

That happened to me yesterday too. We showed up 45 minutes early but they were already sold out. By the time we got up to the window, we decided to watch "Click" instead, and bought tickets for the 10pm showing of "Pirates", since we were pretty sure that the 7pm would already be sold out also (or really crowded). We loved "Click", so it was really worth it.

Oh boy, Pirates was great. We didn't get home until nearly 1am but it was so worth it. I can't wait to see the third one. Did anyone stay throughout the credits? They have a little bit more but we only knew about it because my brother heard about it online. EVERYBODY but us and 5 other people ended up leaving and missed it. No one's mentioned it here.

We stayed through the credits because there'd been something at the end in the first movie, and we really had to pee, so we were glad after all that there was more to watch!

I was speechless last night after I saw it! That movie was AWESOME. Period. I loved all the acting. Jonhnny Depp's acting was AMAZING as usual, and Kiera and Orlando did a good job as well. My favorite scene was the "Kiss of Death", or so to speak. It was so intense, and it gave me the sense that Captain Jack was proud of Elizabeth for finally doing what's right-- or she became a "pirate" so to speak. I also think she really does love Will, and that the kiss was totally planned out by her (She KNEW what the Krackin wanted). She did that to hook Jack to the boat, and though, I think it also was "lust". I feel so bad for Will though in this movie, he didn't have much good happen to him at all! I also think he is willing to let Elizabeth go because he thinks she doesn't love him, but I really think at the end she acted so wierd because she felt guilty for what she did to Jack. I think this whole ordeal will play a pretty big role in the next movie.

Enough of my novel, lol

My favorite line from the movie was definetly either when Elizabeth asks Jack something along the lines of those moments of doing the right thing, and he replies "I love those moments. I like to wave at them as they pass by." Or, when Orlando, that other guy, and Depp are fighting, and Elizabeth goes, "Oh! The heat!" and pretends to faint and proceeds to through a huge hissy fit. :lol:

Overall, I can't wait for the third!
