New Pirates of the Caribbean Movie

Ok saw it 3 times now, I really like it. Still wondering how everything will play out in the third one, cant wait to see it!

There is a extra bit at the end of the credits - but its almost not worth waiting for

I love Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom, but there wasn't enough of them to make this worth sitting through this WAAAAAAYYYYYYY too long movie! Perhaps with some severe editing it may have worked, but I was checking my watch about halfway through...

I still want to see the first one, as I hold out hope that it's as great as I've been told, but I won't see this one again.

I LOVED the first Pirates movie but this second one was not-so-great. I wouldn't say horrible and unwatchable and a waste of time but...

First of all it was WAY too long with WAY pointless scenes. It seemed to just be the same old characters (very flat, every one of them) saying ALL the SAME lines and jokes that were in the first one with nothing new! I don't know about you but I'm not short-term-memory enough to find the same hackneyed jokes funny the second time around.

The plot was long and pointless, why on earth would the East India Trading Company care about some hokey mumbo-jumbo crap? Remember the terrible movie "King Kong" last summer? Well we have to watch a WAY too extended scene where they're on King Kong's island

: and watch them play out a series of physical gags fighting-on-a-large-rolling-thing not ONCE but TWICE in a row. Because they can't come up with much new, scene or jokes-wise.

The Davey Jones CGI was cool, but there was way way way too much scenes on the stupid boat.

And did anyone think "MATRIX" when they went to see the oracle?

My sister had seen the midnight showing and said that there was some WAY twisted end, something surprising, but LAME!!! I was like "That's it???" Like they don't have every single character brought back anyway to make money in the sequel. Sheesh.

It was entertaining and I liked being in the air conditioning for that length of time, but it does NOT deserve all the money and hype it's been getting.

The first one is really good.

My DS liked the 2nd one too.... hubby thought the 2nd one had good parts in it too but not as funny as the first one. Think it had more boy humor in the 2nd one.

Can't wait for the third one in hopes it is more like the first.

I went to see it Saturday.

The seats were comfortable and the popcorn was ok.

As far as the movie, it was a waste of 2 hours. J Depp is an accomplished actor who was completely washed out by the overutilization of special effects. Why did he bother.
