Hey! As I stated above, I am new to the forum....well sorta. I used to be on here under a different profile years ago. I had 3 minis and and A welsh at the time. I lost my welsh in 2015 to cancer. I sold my show gelding to a wonderful home in VT when i moved out of my parents house. He was just going to waste and I couldn't have that. It left my first mini, Josh and my moms little gelding, Knight. We just lost Knight back in December to unknown causes. He was at a facility for over a month under 24hr care. We could have opened him up and tested but we couldn't bare to do so. After losing him, it left Josh all alone. It was either find him a new home, or find him a buddy. There was no way I was letting him go anywhere, He is 12 years old and I have had him since 6 months old. We leased a mini mare from a friend of ours but she turned out to be horrible. She beat up on him, bit, kicked, and even kept him from getting water. If he tried to move around the pasture she went after him. The only time he was able to be free was when he was in his own stall at night. My mom had, had it with her, So once again we were on the look out for a friend. I was at work a few months ago, on my break and scrolling through facebook when I got a notification that someone posted in Maine horses for sale page. Turned out it was an old friend of ours that we bought a haflinger of off, back in 09. He had been my "heart horse" and was taken from me way too soon. Anyway, she posted that she had a little almost 3 year old mini mare for sale. Mind you, we were only looking for a friend for Josh, nothing fancy or showy, Just something healthy and friendly. We went to meet her and fell in love with her, Winter woolies and all. Once we got her home I was itching to clip her, and peak at what was under all that hair. Boy were we in for a surprise...
