ok I will let the cat out of the bag now. Vineyard Hill Minis and Maranatha Minis have just added this wonderful horse to our show string! He moves like a dream !!!! He is tiny. We are looking forward to some high stepping horses in the future, and Championships in the shows!!!

thanks everyone for the info on him.

I'm blaming my friend Tina for this purchase. I was to be in Fort Worth for the Llama auction tonight and she backed out at the last second. :DOH!

Lil and Shelly have been after me to go see this horse and as soon as they brought him out of his stall and he started to trot I knew that I had to have him for my future driving horses. I usually dont like the really small horses as I feel bad asking the small ones to haul my rear arround but with this one I dont think anyone will be looking at the driver.

ahhhhhhh ENCORE!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS on finding him and adding him to your show string! You WONT regret getting him...I guarantee it! I've wondered about him, where he was, if anyone was using him. I had one of his sons years ago to train...he was HOT to TROT...lol fun, full of himself. Encore has turned out some beautiful leggy get with action, spirit and style. Tighten your seatbelt...you are in for a wonderful ride driving/showing him.

Has he ever been driven? I lost track of him after Alex and Linda Rodriguez sold out. We saw him at their farm few times in Indiana...and did get to see many of his foals show in halter and did well. Know KayKay had a son, Tamale who was a pistol...about same size under 30".

I have to share a pic of our Dandy's son, Lil Dudes Dandy's Mr. Shelby, 29.75" tall...full of F-U-N....good heavens! I got him to train at age 5, stallion, had been haltered few times over the years, but never worked with at all. In spring 2006, trained/showed him for Virginia St. Pierre, Blue Ridge Miniatures in TN.

Shelby went Top 10 in Stallions 30" under at 2006 AMHR Nationals...later that night....went RESERVE NATIONAL Champion, CP Driving 30" under. Virginia was beside herself happy with his accomplishments.

This horse would drive till the cows come home....and not get tired or lathered up....no kidding! He hauled me around fairgrounds, then would go in the ring still more full of himself than he needed to be...ugh...!

Funny...the day I harnessed him & hooked the cart....he took a deep breath and exhaled...it was like...finally...I get to do what I was bred to do! Now...he's at home in TN with his band of mares...happy as a clam...proud of his national titles in halter/driving...and his first batch of foals on the way.

SO....here's to you and Encore...will be watching for YOUR national photos in the future...!!!!!
