Does anyone read his books? I usually watch movies based on them, but I've never read the books themselves.

They do a nice job with the movies but the books are always better IMO. I've only read a couple and I enjoyed them.

He's okay but I prefer Richard Paul Evans. I think he writing is better and I love reading him.

I want to see his new movie coming out, but since his movies tend to be on the sad side, I'm not sure if I should wait until it comes out on DVD. I hate crying in the theater.

The books are better than the movies, but often times like the movies they are tear jerkers! My favorite is probably The Last Song, the others I picked as "easy reads" (usually listened to as audiobooks) when I couldn't find anything else from the library.

I just saw Safe Haven. Wow! It is by far my favorite story by him. Yep, I liked it better than The Notebook.
