You really have to go through it peice by piece..tell me how you see it..

According to the Tax Policy Center, the Obama plan provides three times as much tax relief for middle class families as the McCain plan.

I don't claim to have the slightest idea how it would work. What I don't understand is how doing anything like that is going to help regain that $700T (or is it $850T) they're spending right now. It's my opinion that that's money we've just kissed good-bye.

Good site..I actually did my own research..taking the time and going to old websites and breaking it down..

Yes it takes time but you get actual results..gotto tell you I came up with just about the same than the website you posted..for example..the 1000 taxbreak..its nothing but incenatives (sp?) soo if you for instance do lets say solar panels..you get a cut of a few dollars..or you buy a hybrid..it channeled..you have to do certain things to even receive it..and its like that with the whole thing..its kinda like a commercial..we give you a FREE brandnew car..you only pay for the keys..did we mention the keys are 12 000, 00$ lol

Or all you pay is shipping..you get the thrift

It is very possible for this to happen if the waste in government is cut out. I am very much aware of the waste that goes on and it needs to be stopped. Also if the war is brought to an end just think of all the money that could go for good causes such as cutting out some of the taxes. The government needs to understand that our money is not to be wasted. The government might consider running a much tighter ship so all tax payers are kept with more of their hard earned dollars. Will it happen....couldbe something to look forward to with the right administration. Always hopeful......

From what both candidates are saying the war isn't going to end.....it's just gonna move. I pray that we will eventually see an end to war but the monetary savings is only secondary.

Not trying to start another argument here but didn't I recently hear that Obama is now saying he's going to eliminate government's wasteful spending? I may be mistaken but I don't remember him addressing that issue before.

Well, it really isn't so hard to say if a person wants to listen to some common sense and stay optimistic for the right people to get into office. I happen to be a person that appreciates the hard work of people and do feel that there is so much waste that could go towrds the lowering of our taxes........just try to understand that itmay be

possible with the right people running th ship.....no argument wanted just giving opinions because that is what was asked.

The thing is IF he is going to get less money from someone else ( tax cuts, rebates, incentives ) whatever name he decides to apply to it WHERE is he going to make that money back up............. He is going to have to tax someone or something to get that money back............. And don't tell me it will be from NO WASTEFUL SPENDING!

I like McCains's plan taxcuts to the wealthy and your average american spends more money to the government. Yeah like that alot.

Let's see how good it sounds to you when you've busted your butt to have what you have. Because know that if some of this socialistic stuff goes through, Jamie, you will find there are others not as well off as yourself who will be picking your pocket. Plus, make it too taxing on the wealthy and the business owners and they may just leave or close up shop. One HUGE reason I am a republican is I believe in PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. While some others just want to stand there with their hands out waiting to profit off of those who maybe worked harder, or smarter or were just a little luckier. Remember that we're all luckier than some others...

And I'm not even going to touch on your huge misunderstanding concerning McCain's ideas and the reasoning behind it. Just keep on waiting for your windfall thanks to the rich

And that is why Obama is going to be elected! The lazy bums who now refuse to work, those that should not be on welfare & those who want to quit working know that Obama is going to give them a piece of the pie ( our piece of the pie) whether they deserve it or not! And those that choose to be responsible and watch out for their own will soon give up and join the above because the above are getting MOST of what they are earning anyway so why try!

Truer words were never spoken. And the rest of us just keep paying and paying for them.

One of the things McCain says that I find especially attractive is that he's going to "quit giving money to those countries that don't like us very much". How could anyone not appreciate an approach like that?

Sorry definitely got off topic with that one, but the "handout" comment just kinda seemed to lead to it.
