This is Lily, picked her up on Saturday and got to meet Moxie in person. Poor puppy had a long day in my truck in a crate, had a few little temper tantrums, but was mostly good for an eight week old baby dog. Last night was a long one, she woke me up a few times to potty, but that sure beats waking up to a messy puppy!

Excuse the mess in the upper right, those are needles from the Christmas tree that is still up.

Gracie's nose is so far out of joint, actually her panties are in a major bunch!

I have to say that look on her face is priceless! Too funny!

Lily is a DOLL. All those Moxie puppies are adorable!

Good luck with her..............all those night time potty sessions will soon be a distant memory.

I'm so jealous of all these new puppies!

Maybe I'm just too tired!! LOL

Is Lily bugging Gracie? Or are they avoiding each other???

Very sweet!! I'm glad you got Lily home and sorry Gracie is not liking her!! They will get used to each other soon..

Have fun loving that sweet puppy!!

Although Gracie swears Lily is the ugliest, most vile creature she has ever seen, we all know she's ADORABLE!!!! Hopefully Gracie will soon accept her darling little sister

Jody shes so cute, I think my Gracie would be bent too, they so want to be #1, I'm jealous I just want the puppy breath! Kathy

Oh, the puppy breath is the best! I have to say Gracie has the most expressive facial expressions of any dog I have ever seen. I'll have to get more pictures of her. I remember when I brought Cody home, Foxy would turn her head away and refused to even look at her. She never gave me the cold shoulder, just Cody. That didn't last long, and they ended up friends and would clean each others ears.

Lily was pretty good last night, only woke me up once!

I am told she had a bad day yesterday. She was in an exercise pen in the basement next to another pen with poor Fraiser. We put puppies in the pens so they can go to papers to potty and have a bed and room to play. They are too young to be able to be crated when we are at work. I guess she howled and carried on all day and Frasier was pretty disgusted. Hopefully she will adjust to our schedules quickly. She was very happy and playing all evening, and napped a lot on my foot and lap.

Congratulations!!

I'm glad another forum member got one of Moxie's puppies so we can continue to watch them grow.

The look on Gracie's face is priceless!! I'm sure she'll come around.

I agree...those Moxie babies are just precious!!! Your little girl is adorable!!! You are going to have such a great time with her. Hopefully Gracie will come around soon!

I forgot to ask if Lily put the needles on the floor??

OH!!!!!!!!!!!! She's ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've always wanted a cardigan corgie!!!! I did research a long time ago before I got my welsh corgi, Flash..... It's SOOOOOO hard to find a Cardigan corgi and they want a arm & a leg for them!! "Some day" when Flash ever does pass on (I've got quite a few years before that ever happening)..... I'd LOVE to get a Cardigan~! I just think they are thee neatest...... I LOVE the brindled ones.....

I've heard the Cardigan corgies can be a bit more hard headed and not as people friendly as the Welsh?

Thanks for sharing the pictures!

hmmmm, coming from someone who only knows Cardigans....I would say no....they aren't.

From people who breed BOTH breeds (they are BOTH Welsh Corgis btw, one is the Pembroke Welsh Corgi originating from Pembrokeshire Wales, the other the Cardigan Welsh Corgi originating from Cardiganshire Wales

), I've heard that Cardis are a little more stand back and observe before jumping in, and the Pems are more in your face....but I think there is such a WIDE range in any breed, that one person can have one type and say the breed as a whole is that way. I know of a Cardi who is very difficult...but he is not the 'norm' and he is not the reason I fell in love with the breed! Personally I love the Cardis more because they are not as 'snippy' as the Pems that I have met, but I'm sure there are Pems who are just as friendly and lovable as the Cardis that made me fall in love with Cardis.

Ask sfmini is Moxie is 'not as people friendly'.....

I was told they were more standoffish with strangers. Maybe it is the case that they know no strangers? Moxie came running to me and was jumping on my legs to get attention and was tickled to see me.

My pems have always been outgoing and loved everybody.

I have to say Lily is more reserved with people than the pems have been but she warms up fast.

She is a rocket scientist too! Judy called Pete and asked him to let her out at noon and he put her in the fenced yard where she had never been and left her alone. Minutes later, GONE!
default_new_shocked.gif

Then he heard Gracie raising all kinds of a ruckus upstairs so he went to look and there was Lily at the front door! She had gotten out of the fenced yard, climbed the hill and went to the front door. Amazing she was smart enough to do that. We have only been taking her out the front door and staying with her so we could celebrate success in the potty department. On that subject, she 'goes' immediately every time we take her out. My pems at the same age were fiddle farting around, playing and sniffing and doing everything but! Then you give up, go inside and they pee in the house!

Even more amazing, her Ex pen was dry and clean when I got home and she was in there from noon until 6pm! Don't forget she is only 8 weeks old!

HOORAAYYY for Lily!!!!!

Not on the getting out department, though that doesn't surprise me!! The whole litter was into & out of anything and everything. If there was the tiniest gap in any barricade I put up....they were through it and back at it when it was redesigned!!! LOL

Her litter brother & sister are getting there, but trying to housebreak 4 puppies at one go is, well, challenging!! LOL

I'm very interested to see if you think there is much difference between the 2 breeds as Lily grows up!!!
