I would show her. She has a beautiful head and neck and nice shoulder and rump. Go for it! I am showing Rocky this weekend and he is FAR from show quality! All experiexces she has that are positive can only make her a better horse in the end. :aktion033:

I think she is cute. But I have aquestion. People keep saying somthing about dished faces being a sign of dwardism, I thought people wanted the dish face for showing? It was the Arabain look I thought. She is a cutie!! And I love the little ones.

I read this thread and guess I m perplexed that one would consider your little filly to be a dwarf, especially with the second pic you posted. I don't see any dwarf characteristics in her at all. Perhaps because she is so tiny and her halter seems to be too big in the sense that it overpowers her tiny face. She has a beautiful lenght of neck and a dishy face, etc. I think you will do quite well with her!!!! :aktion033: :aktion033:

I think we must have a relative, he's three years old now, and barely 27 inches. He had that dishy head and face thing going on, was extremely short, short head, nostrils on the side, eyes on the side (major there) and was rather a cute but different looking mini.

Well, it's three years since we purchased him , and a few days back I went to clip him, and Momma Mia! did he ever change! I didn't think it was the same horse! He's gotten leggy, his head has totally changed, and he's not the little guy I remember. I've come to my own amatur conclusin.... he's from a slow developing line. He's finally getting a developed butt, and his head is not as short or as dishy anymore, it's just like so many heads I've seen in the show ring! JMHO here, but maybe she's a relative and for her to come into her own will take a few years.

I'm thinking that's what went on with our little guy. I'm also thinking another year of stallion hormones won't hurt either. Just keep your girl away from critical people.. it will make you crazy! She's adorable.

God Bless,

What I see is a very cute little head, beautiful big eye, VERY heavy neck base for her size. I think thats what hits me first when I look at her. If I cover her body up with my hand and look at her head and neck then look at just her body it doesnt match. Her legs are dainty and thin and her neck while of a good length is thick for a weanling. She is pretty to look at but her front half and her back half dont match.

It just seems to me that her body doesnt match. Even with legs clipped she appears heavy in the front and shoulder to me- thick. And some of the previous posts are right- this will get thicker and heavier with age. Her head is cute and her legs look very correct.

The bone sure looks a lot finer with the lower legs clipped. I agree with Tony- Show her. If you measue the length of her front legs from body to ground- it is real close to the length of her body from wither(sp) to elbow. In the first photo she was stretched too much and leaning. That caused her body to look longer in proportion to her legs (which looked shorter due to being hairy and in grass).

I would watch her as she grew but she is still young enough for her head to smooth out. She doesn't seem to have a bulgie eye. Her neck has a real nice length for her size. I sure wouldn't throw her away yet.

What does her background look like?
