I wanted to introduce our newest addition, Zarzuelas Modigliani a 2007 bay pinto stallion. He's spent most of his time over with Pura Vida Ranch, but I found him fairly close to home. Anyway, here is what your all here looking for anyway... The pictures!

Thanks, we're pretty excited about him. He's my birthday present from my hubby, although my birthday isnt until the 9th. Im going to visit him tomorrow, and we'll bring him home the beginning of next month.

It took me about 2 days to say his name right, and theres still an ongoing joke hereabout his name. I was telling my hubby about him when I first saw him for sale, and the next day hubby goes, "did you hear anything back about that "Zues Mongoloid" horse, LOL. Needless to say, hubby has all kinds of names for him and hes not even here yet.

Nice! Congrats and happy birthday to you! Horses are the best bday present, I told my hubby all I wanted for my bday was permission to buy the stallion I wanted (he said yes hehe). Are you going to show him?

Yes, Im going to show him AMHR. He's also AMHA, but outgrew his papers. We're keeping them to show his bloodlines though. His AMHR papers just have unknown AMHA on them. I MIGHT show him once as a stallion in AMHR, just because he cant be gelded until after that show due to the weather. My vet wont geld in this heat (Its been 106 with high humidity the past few days) Im not sure yet though, although he is very quiet, that I want to be in the ring with other senior stallions. Saw a few horses at a show this weekend in the senior stallions class that really needed a "come to jesus" moment. Rearing, bucking, and kicking at the judges and other exhibitors.

I got to meet him yesterday and Im in love

Hes calmer and sweeter than my dead quiet gelding.

Congrats on your gorgeous new boy. Lucky you getting a horse for your birthday. I have tried that and failed
