Wa-Full Benita, our AMHR/ASPC 38" Benihana daughter (Benihana is a double HOF superior dam) gave us a TALL LEGGY (I mean TALL) perlino COLT @ 7:15pm this evening. I had been at the barn all day clipping and she was being downright nasty which is so not Benita, she has had a full bag for a few days now and started waxing around 5:30 tonight so was in the barn anyway and she was down around 7:10..foal was out by 7:15. Benita is 19 years old and very experienced so i was not worried at all. He is going to be BIG..i think like 37-38" for sure. I was not expecting him to be that tall as his sire was about 31.75".
Sire is a line bred Ima Boones Little Buckeroo "BTU" grandson. I have the full foaling on my memory card and will be sure to upload that to youtube when i get time tonight. I am just so thankful to have all three of our foals (even if they are all boys) on the ground safe and healthy, i feel very fortunate to have had such a smooth foaling season and i have to say i am SO happy to turn off that foaling cam now although i feel like i could do this all spring as the end is so worth the waiting process!!!!!
