I want to thank Kathy Morlang for allowing me to try and paint this portrait of their buddy Garth. He was a special little guy to them. And since it was the start of horse show season, and my yard is trashed, and working on top of it didn't have enough time to get it done for them right away. I would have it finished,,,, and my family would say it looked good. But something did not work for me. So over and over I did his face until last night, or this morning at 2 am. I finally won the battle! I can say I really liked how it turned out. Thanks for looking!

Oh my, that painting is GORGEOUS. You really captured him well. I had to look hard, expected him to blink at any minute:) I admire your talent.

You know how some paintings emit more emotion and some are just "flat"?

This one has the emotion! You caught something in his eyes...and more.

I love seeing your work. That is just beautiful!

We are so thrilled with this painting of our beloved friend Garth who passed away a year ago this month. It is so life like that it will remind me forever of his loyalty and love. Wonderful work!

Kim, you know what a fan I am of your work. THIS TIME, I think you outdid yourself! I know whatever is on the web here is pale in comparison to real life; I would LOVE to see this one. You have such an incredible talent!

I have another for you to do, I think. A very, very special one, also a dog. I don't know if I can bear to have it yet. This one broke my heart beyond any words, I have cried over it at least once per day since I had to put her down. One day, I will be ready. Right now I can't even look at a photo of her.

Oh Kim!! That is gorgeous!!! You can really feel his spirit in that one! I'm sorry you lost your dog Kathy, but I'm glad you have one of Kim's paintings of him.

Beautiful job. You are very gifted!

you can almost feel the hair on his face. Honestly, I can feel that dog through your painting . Like someone else said, that painting in NOT flat.

This one in particular is very special. You can almost feel every hair on his face. But then I want to say that about every one of your paintings!
