I have always found both registries easy to work with, but I would NOT accept a Buckskin being registered as a Palomino. If you KNOW him to be Buckskin (which I'm sure you do), I would send it back and insist that he be registered correctly.I just got the AMHR registration papers today on a stallion I just registered. They registered him as a palomino pinto when I put silver buckskin pinto (which he is) on the registration application. Why do they not put what the owner says the horse is? So, I feel your pain!
