We are looking at a mare that is AMHR and ASPC registered. If we get her this will be our first ASPC pony.

This mare has quite a few ponies from Royal Pony Farm in her pedigree such as Royal Alice's Boy, Royal Red Viking, Royal Alice, and Royal Le Ann. Her sire is Royal Firecracker. What do you all think of these ponies? Ive just started researching Shetland lines so any help would be appreciated!

1-10-07 Hi: Sounds like your mare has a pedigree to die for! Nearly all of the names you mentioned are well-known and highly regarded Shetlands. Royal Pony Farm is one of the oldest Shetland breeders around and their animals come with a built in reputation for quality. Good luck with your mare. Ta, Shirlee

Here is my Royal Pony. He is bred by the Royal Pony Farm, his sire is Royal Golden Supreme and his dam is Royal Toots. He has his spice which i love. Beatiful and boy he knows how to show off. Lewella here has a good amount of Royal Ponies and knows Donna and her family personally. Also, just let me say Donna Norcross is one of the nicest people and i LOVE to talk with her.

Royal Salsa (38'' as a pony, 36.75'' as a miniature)-

He is a grandson of Royal Alices Boy. Great Grandson of Royal Red Viking (2x). He is also a GG grandson of Royal Le Ann (kind of always thought that was something bc my name is Leeana, match made in heaven i guess lol) He has a beautiful neck and topline. Sooo showy, he is one of my faverits here. Foundation as well. He brought home one grand, 1 first and multi top 5's all year inlcuding the Ohio World Show (showing as a classic). Will be at congress showing as a foundation for the first time in 07'.

The royal pony farm has two farms. One branch is in TX the other is in Iowa. Royal Firecracking is a beautiful stallion, resembles my salsa so much. Salsa shows well. Firecracker and Viking are two very well known stallions at their farm. The RPF has allot of Lee-Land breeding behind their horses and Larigo and Hillswick as well. Most of their ponies are Foundation elg. as well.

He will not be my last Royal pony either

I'm here! I'm here! Okay, watch my avatar for a moment...........

The liberty picture of the silver dapple pinto is my HOF Gelding Royal Beau - he is a Viking grandson.

The black and white photo is of Oneka's French Silk - she is a Viking daughter.

The bay sabino gelding is Oneka's Omega Red - he is a full brother to French Silk.

I also own

--Royal Delicate Design - a Viking daughter out of the same Viking daughter as Royal Beau (Royal does a lot of line breeding)

--Royal Acclamation - a Viking daughter who is out of a double Viking granddaughter (the Viking son who is her maternal Grandsire is Royal Alice's Boy).

--Plattes Royal Nordic Scribe - a Viking son who will likely be a future herdsire for me. I had the rare opportunity in 2005 to breed one of my mares to Viking and Scribe was the result.

--Royal Rapture - an Alice's Boy daughter

You can see pictures of Viking, Alice's Boy, and Firecracker at http://www.royalponyfarm.com - just click on the stallion page and then each boys name. Viking is 27 this year and is on long term loan to Don Rudeen in Cannon Falls, MN. Alice's Boy is 24 this year and is currently in Iowa though it sounds like he may be goin back to Texas this spring. Firecracker is 15 and in Iowa.
