Saturday Feb 19th we had to brave the elements (we had just gotten 9 inches of new snow at my house)and go to Sacramento to pick up my niece and nephews puppies at the airport. We drove on solid ice from home in Reno, NV to Colfax, CA. Well, about 5 miles east of Nyack (not sure of the spelling) Rd my truck over heated. BAD! We pull over and when a cop stopped and made sure we were OK. We had the kids up on the snow bank in case someone hit the truck. The truck cooled enough to start it and get to Nyack Rd. because there is a gas station/store and Burger King. Boy was it busy. We went in and got some antifreeze and then went into Burger King while the truck cooled. We then went out and put the antifreeze in the truck and went on. We get to Auburn for a potty break because Nyack was too crowded. I find out I do not have my purse. It is back at Nyack Rd. Well, if I don't have my purse I do not have I.D. and there is $200 cash in it and my digital camera is in it. I had the flight info and my cell phone in the truck. I called the airport and tell them what happened and we changed who was to pick up the puppies. We then get to the airport and the puppies are so cute. I will add picks later. I took all of the blankets and supplies we took with us to check for my purse. Nope. It is confirmed. The purse is not in the truck. I was so worried. I had no I.D. or anything. It is a pain in the you know what to replace everything. My brother kept saying "You won't get it back". We get back up to Nyack Rd. At least the roads are clear. I go into the store and ask at the counter if anyone turned in a brown purse. NO. So I go into Burger King. id by chance anyone turn in a brown purse?" "YES!!!!" "OH, THANK YOU!!!" "Do you know who turned it in?" "NO." I would have given a reward. I open my purse and everything is in it! My wallet, the $200, the camera. Everything! There are good and honest people out there and I thank them who ever they may be.
