Winchester Farm... going to PETA - as you may have realized by now - was ill-advised.
At leats FAO Schwarz took measures to ensure that the horse would be cared for properly... even specifying proper care with an expert in attendance. Far more than you will see happen at a sale - where any buyer can walk away with a horse and take it anywhere... and you have no clue as to its future.
PETA is the WORST thing to happen to animal welfare... and if they turn their attention to the mini world as a future "project"... well - you can bet no good will come of it. Terrorism... lying... and sensationalist tactics do not help the animals in any way shape or form.
Frankly - the only thing that perturbed me about that ad was the fact that for $15,000 you can get a very fancy show horse...
Live animals are sold over the internet all the time - even on our sales board - so you cannot use that as a reason to complain.
This whole thing?? Mountains out of molehills, IMHO. *shrug*

Check out the horses you can purchase from trainers.... very good deals to be had...

I got the sarcasm - it was obvious - and made me smile. I think people tend to react instead of read and reread and not apply a certain tone to a post that was never there to begin with...Sigh, and again sarcasm is lost in computer translation.

The same thing happened to Exceller in Sweden... hence the development of the Exceller Fund ...Oh come on, Geese - remember Kentucky Derby winner Ferdinand? He earned $3,777,978 and ended up killed in a slaughterhouse in Japan...
