This just happened to me, so I thought I would post this.

I get my monthly medications, and I always check to make sure they are the right pills. This has never occurred to me until today. Always check for extra pills that might have gotten into your bottle by mistake. I had an extra pill in mine, same color, but a bit smaller. This could have been a dangerous situation had I not noticed. SO, be careful.

Also, something else that has happened to me is they forgot to mix my daughters Amoxil one time, by not putting any water in it. I was lucky, since I worked at a vet clinic and mixed up amoxil all the time. My concern is someone not knowing any better and trying to give a baby powder, and choke them, or overdose them.

Edited to say that this was two different pharmacies!!

Thanks for the warning. Between my husband and myself we have 12 prescriptions. I definitely will be checking our medications. This is good to know that it could happen. Something we never think about. You just assume everything is alright.

Yes this is very good advice because my husband is on so much medication we have tons of medicine around seems like.

But so far this has happened to us 4 maybe 5 times wrong meds wrong dose etc.

You can't take anything for granted today seems like!

:new_shocked:  I've always checked ,ever since one of my dads friends almost died from getting the wrong pills, they looked almost his but weren't. I drive the pharmacy crazy, because I get generic, and I queation every time one of mine change shape or color. Different manufactors give different looks to the same thing, just be careful.
