I finally took some pictures of my 2008 foals for their registration apps and since some of you might recall the loss of our mare to hyperlipemia this spring and the filly we had to raise on milk replacer I thought I'd share how well she has done. And then of course I had to include her half brother Nitro because....well just because ;)

So here they are today

Dyna

Reignmakers Playing with Dynamite (pending)

and her younger half brother Nitro

Reignmakers Hylee Explosive (pending)

Nitro had his first clip today and I settled for just doing his body and neck and didn't put too much time into clipping his head or legs. I was pleasantly surprised at his good behaviour since he is usually a handful with new things.

Hopefully I've got this photo thing figured out again

WOW Dyna looks GREAT! I am so pleased she is doing so well! Nitro is quite a looker too!

Thanks for the compliments :D Yes Ferrah, hasn't she thrived? When I look at her now all those sleepless nights spent feeding her don't seem like such a sacrifice at all. I worried about her not doing as well as a foal on mares milk since the formulas are not perfect but it appears she did fine and I'm very happy with her. Altho it is really tough to get decent pics since she pouts if she can't be at my side and then she puts her ears back and turns her back or hangs her head lol Such a silly girl , I have had so many offers on her but I just can't sell this one, it would be like selling my own kids

Thanks Stephanie. It took a lot of hours in the beginning and a lot of luck too but she is my sweet girl and I have yet to have anyone who meets her not fall in love . If I was better set up to haul her (not good to haul a horse in the car...smells it up too much for my city slicker wanna be son lol) I'd be taking her to visit seniors and children. She absolutely LOVES human attention. (haha go figure, a bottle baby that likes people ;) )
