Four shows in four weekends in a row .... now we have time to breath! Our last was in Regina this past weekend, kudos to those who put it on, we had so much fun, hope there's a sanctioned show there again next year!! Same goes for all the shows ... we know how much work goes into it, it's all greatly appreciated!

Anyway, a couple weeks ago (between Stampede and Red Deer, I think), my brother took pictures of most of our show horses, and now I finally have time to show them off!!

Circle J Dezigner Genes, 7 Year old, 34" Gelding

Duke-06.jpg

Duke's done very well over the past few years in Senior Gelding and Country Pleasure, but when Jodi's horse was sick and had to stay home she drove Duke in Roadster; we were all surprised ... who knew he was a roadster horse!!

Circle J Zachary, 11 year old, 34" Gelding

Senior Gelding, Country Pleasure .... old picture of him, he's sure not that slim and trim this year! Poor Zac was lame for a couple shows after a bad trim and missed out on some of the fun, but got to go to Regina, he was glad to get on the trailer with the other boys!

Circle J Finnegan, 5 year old, 33.5" Gelding

Finn06.jpg

My brother's (the photographer) youth gelding, Finnegan does everything! He'd rather drive than anything, but has been doing really well this year in halter obstacle and hunter, and they've even been beating the girls sometimes in showmanship, which is only significant because Michael said there was no way he'd ever win against all those pretty girls in his age group!

Circle J King George, 4 year old, 31.5" Gelding

George06.jpg

George is shown by Michael's friend Curtis, and at this past show by myself and one of the "pretty girls" referred to earlier when her horse got sick and couldn't go ... he's a great all around gelding as well who will hopefully finish learning to drive this fall. A newly discovered Liberty talent, now that we can catch him!

Circle J Jesse James, yearling, 31" Gelding

Jesse.jpg

Jesse did well in Junior Gelding (Grand Champion) as well as made his showmanship debut with one of his new owners with absolutely no training or practice and placed 3rd in a class of nine! Congratulations to the Crocker family, Jesse is a great little horse and is going to love being Dale's show horse!

Circle J Icicle, 2 year old, 31" Filly

Icicle06.jpg

Icicle is so pretty ... now if someone wants to hazard a guess at what colour she is it would be greatly appreciated! She's a full sister to Duke (Dezigner Genes). I call her bay-ish ... and roan-ish ...

Circle J Hawk, 3 year old, 33.5" Stallion

Hawk06.jpg

My baby boy, Hawk did okay in his stallion classes (in a class with the World Champion most of the time!), and most importantly became a well adjusted horse, no longer a crazy nut! He's learning to drive and I can't wait until next year to drive him in the show ring ... he was for sale, but now he's going to be my new driving horse!

Circle J Jerome, yearling 31.5" Gelding

Jerome.jpg

Jerome is going to grow up to be a great addition to our eight horse hitch, he's a goer and loved the adventure of attending his first show, at the Calgary Stampede no less!!

There's one more we took to a show ... haven't done is glamour shots yet though!

Thanks for looking, I really appreciate it, I'm proud of these guys (and girl)!!

Actually, it's a pretty rare year, because they aren't ALL geldings!

Hawk was only left a stallion because I thought someone might like to buy him, and he is a very nice boy, but since I'm going to keep him and we wouldn't be able to use him (90% of our mares are related), he'll probably be gelded by next year ... though it was nice not to have every horse we had at the show going in the ring for halter at exactly the same time!

And just every so often we like to take a girl, just to prove that we have some!!

What a gorgeous bunch -- and your brother took some very nice photos. Duke especially looks like a movie star!

I really think your fa ily should receive a lifetime achievement award for gelding promotion...
